Polaris 3900 Sport Chain Tensioner Kit (39-120) The chain tensioner kit was designed by Polaris for the 3900 Sport pressure side cleaner. It is made from the same high-quality material as the original factory part. Making it a genuine OEM product. These parts were designed to aid in the maneuverability of the 3900 Sport and its purpose is to apply force or maintain tension for the chain. This is important because the chain is what rotates the wheel sprockets and wheels themselves giving the cleaner the ability to move and cover the entirety of your pool's surface. If the chain is loose in any way it more than likely will fall off its tracks taking the cleaner's ability to move away. This tensioner is black and has a spring attached to it that helps apply the tension needed to keep the chain in place. It is located near the front of the cleaner on the frame near the first wheel sprocket where the chain is held. Making it easy to locate and replace if damaged or worn.
