Forever Seal

FOREVERSEAL is a 1k non sanding sealer. It is a phenolic. Not a Lacquer, enamel or even Urethane. It is in a class of its own. The Phenolic resin (which stays open), will allow unlimited re coat window. (If it was a 2k it would have a limited window and "fully cure" Unlike the Phenolic based sealer we have developed). The 1k is just another plus to this product. This is a huge advantage to most shops. Being able to paint a panel ,car or whatever and push it aside in your shop for an hour, a day , a week or even a month! And still be able to just clean it and re coat is amazing! Even though, Forever seal is non sanding technically you can, but defeats the purpose of the product. You can sand no problem. And it doesn't sand like a brick. Tamco Forever Seal is a also direct to metal Industrial and Fleet Sealer that has exceptionally good filling properties and provides good color holdout and fast topcoat times. Forever seal can be applied directly over properly prepared steel, galvanized, aluminum, fiberglass, SMC, base-coat, old lacquer, old cured enamel, and old polyurethane. The advantage of this sealer is that there is no pot-life issues, and no re coat period to worry about. You can sand (but not required) in 30 minutes at 78 degrees.

Q&A

Q: Does FOREVERSEAL really have no re coat window or is that just a selling point??

A: YES!! FOREVERSEAL can sit for a while. There is no re coat window , so you can just come back and clean thoroughly with HR397 or HR397W and coat with your base coat.

Q: What’s the pros and cons of using FOREVERSEAL VS. mixing 5300 as a sealer and using that?

A: There is no cons. FOREVERSEAL is technically superior to any urethane sealer. Urethane sealers should be cured and sanded for best results.

FOREVERSEAL will give you a smoother more uniform ground coat before your base coat. It is very similar to a base coat finish. While most Tamco users use the HP5300 Series primer as a sealer, it will not be as smooth as our Forever Seal.

Q: Will FOREVERSEAL work on new non sanded bumpers?

A: If we are talking about the pre primed ones. You should always properly sand and clean your surface first , but yes it works well on bumpers.

Q: Can I spray FOREVERSEAL over bare metal sand through?

A: Yes! It also has rust inhibitors as well.

Q: Will FOREVERSEAL fill a 320 sand scratch or do I need to sand with 400?

A: Yes, our 4:1 ratio is based for theoretical square coverage and filling capabilities. You can also under reduce it and apply at a higher viscosity for exceptional capabilities.

Note: You may need to adjust gun settings and tip sizes.

Q: Would FOREVERSEAL be suitable for something like a tractor chassis where there would be a mixture of bare metal and paint on rough cast steel where sanding primer would almost be impossible. Then topcoat with urethane ss

A: Perfect for this use. As a matter of fact most industrial paint companies still make this product for tractors, trucks, heavy duty equipment but it’s not in their automotive line anymore.

Q: Is FOREVERSEAL recommended to use under base coat?

A: Yes!

Q: Is FOREVERSEAL a fast drying product?

A: FOREVERSEAL is designed to dry fast. That's one of the key points of the product. It is very user friendly when it comes to spraying and re coating. You can pretty much apply wet on wet with no runs or sags.

Q: Do I activate FOREVERSEAL??

A: NO!!! You add HH57 to your RTS basecoat!!
