Each packet contains 100 tablets, with a recommended dosage of 1/4 tablet for pigeons. It is important to note that if Metronidazole is used on birds intended for meat or egg production, there is a required 14-day withdrawal period.
For Peacocks specifically, Metronidazole is an essential medication for various illnesses such as Coccidiosis, Blackhead, Canker, and Heximitia. The recommended dosage for a grown Peacock is 250 mg, while for a Peacock less than one year old, the dosage is 125 mg. Alternatively, you can administer 25 mg per pound of the Peacock's weight. Administer the tablets for 5 to 7 days to effectively treat the mentioned illnesses. Look out for symptoms such as lethargy, light coloring, and red or yellow discoloration in the poop, indicating advanced cases that require Metronidazole treatment.
