Product Description
Having trouble with your 928 fuel tank and the threaded sleeve coming out with the pump or strainer° Don't panic - we have the solution! Our Fuel Tank Repair Sleeve/Boss is the fix you need. Simply insert it inside the tank, pull it into place, and you're ready to screw in the pump or strainer. It seals with a gasket, just like the original, and the boss arm prevents it from spinning. Plus, it comes with a gasket for added convenience.
This product isn't just for 928 owners - 944/968 owners facing the same issue can benefit from it too. The FTTS is designed to handle the problem effectively for both models.
Keep in mind that the tank is blow molded, so it may vary in thickness compared to other tanks. If your tank seems thicker than usual, follow these steps for a proper installation:
1) Remove the orange seal from the FTTS - it's not meant for that position, only for the outside when installing the filter screen.
2) Take out the yellow bowl inside the tank and push the FTTS directly into the tank wall. The bowl is lightly glued and can be easily removed.
3) Use a long piece of wood as a lever to push the FTTS into the hole while someone screws the screen in from the outside.
4) Replace the lid on the yellow bowl and secure it back in place with the fuel level sensor cup.
Don't stress about costly tank replacements - get the FTTS and fix the issue with ease.
