Saltwash® powder is a revolutionary product designed to achieve a unique weathered look with just three simple steps. Made with real sea salt, this powder dries quickly and provides excellent adhesion when mixed with any brand, color, or finish of paint. Ideal as a base coat, Saltwash® can be applied to a variety of surfaces including furniture, walls, flooring, metal, glass, fabric, and plastic.
This no VOC product is safe to use in a normal working environment, but we always recommend taking necessary safety precautions. Due to its fine composition, we advise wearing respiratory and eye protection while mixing and sanding. Saltwash® is proudly manufactured in the U.S.A.
Available in a 42-oz can with a convenient 2-oz scoop for easy measuring, one can covers approximately 65-75 square feet. For optimal results, start with smaller quantities of paint (16-oz is recommended) and stir the Saltwash® mixture every 2-4 scoops. Check out our mixing ratio table below for more guidance.
For smaller projects, the 10-oz can of Saltwash® covers around 15-20 square feet. Be sure to refer to our mixing ratio table for the best results. Experiment with Saltwash® powder to create your own unique, beach-inspired finishes on a variety of surfaces.
