Product Description

We have added this AA-8005 radiator to our portfolio due to the number of distinct elements.  This chart may help identify your AA.

With a core height of 19-3/4" this spring of 1930 production radiator resembles a 1927-1929 more than the June 1930 to December 1932 AA.

Modern efficient copper core design with 10 fins per inch

Dimpled 6 FPI core available upon request

Louvers embossed between each fin to disrupt air flow and facilitate heat transfer

3/4" seamless weld tubes in a staggered array to disrupt airflow laterally

Die stamped top tank

Threaded neck 28-29

Galvanized steel sidewalls to resist rust

Sidewalls available with relief like OE (upon request)

Optional fan shroud mount in the sidewall e.g. not in the brackets

Cowl rod bracket for support rods to firewall - requires ~1/2" shorter stay rod

Hood rest is riveted to the sidewall

Internal baffle in top tank to prevent coolant loss

Correct angle on lower outlet to clear powerhouse generators

Electric wire tabs soldered to lower tank

Larger (and different) sidewall tabs riveted to the sidewall

Painted flat black to aid in heat exchange

Steel fan shrouds with wire channel (available separately)

Each radiator is tested with an original Ford shell to assure general fit, appropriate neck placement and accurate mounting bracket placement. Each 1928-1929 radiator is also tested with an original 1928 steel fan shroud to assure fitment.  If for any reason you are not satisfied with the fit, finish, design or craftmanship the radiator may be returned to us postage pre-paid in new and re-saleable condition for a refund.

For a little more money, you may also consider our 28-29RT with round tubes for more authentic look.

Made in the USA (and made with 99.99% North American sourced materials!)
