How It WorksThe HI739-26 reagents use the proven SPADNS colorimetric method. When fluoride reacts with the SPADNS reagent, it forms a colorless complex that reduces the color intensity proportional to fluoride concentration. The HI739 Checker HC measures this color change photometrically and displays the precise fluoride concentration.Testing procedure:
Add 2 mL of SPADNS reagent to two clean cuvettes
Add 8 mL of the second reagent to one cuvette (blank)
Add 8 mL of sample to the other cuvette (test)
The Checker HC analyzes the color difference and displays results in ppm
