The HI705 Checker® HC (Handheld Colorimeter) provides a simple, accurate and cost effective way to measure silica. Silica is found in all natural waters in the dissolved form. Due to the potential to cause scaling, it is undesirable and therefore monitored in industrial applications, and in heating and reverse osmosis systems.
