Ideal Applications

The PondMAX AlgaeSTOP is a water treatment product formulated for ornamental ponds and water gardens.

Follow dosing instructions based on actual pond volume. Overtreatment can stress fish and disrupt biological filtration.

Setup Guide

Measure pond volume accurately before dosing. Overestimating gallonage leads to underdosing; underestimating can create a toxic concentration.

Remove activated carbon from filters before applying chemical treatments. Carbon absorbs many active ingredients and reduces their effectiveness.

Aerate the pond during and after treatment to maintain oxygen levels, especially when treating algae whose die-off consumes dissolved oxygen.

Seasonal Usage Advice

Spring: Begin beneficial bacteria treatments once water temperatures reach 50 degrees F consistently. Cold water slows bacterial metabolism and delays colonization.

Summer: Dose more frequently during high temperatures and heavy feeding periods. Increased fish waste drives higher ammonia loads.

Fall: Taper feeding and treatments as water cools below 55 degrees F. Overfeeding in cold water leads to uneaten food decomposing on the bottom.
