Overview:
Although built for passenger service, the AT&SF's 2900-class Northerns had more than ample power to handle freight. Especially during peak harvest seasons, the 2900s were often chosen for the many produce extras which steamed east from California daily. A 2900-led train of yellow reefers is nearly as iconic to the Santa Fe as red/silver F units on the streamlined Chief. This set captures the best of the Santa Fe with a LEGACY 2900 class Northern, three "map" reefers including one with full VISION features and an interactive "Crew Sounds" caboose to add to the action. The 2913 has power to spare so you can easily expand your train with additional reefers and general freight cars available separately.
