The Venta LW14 is called an “Airwasher” because it literally washes the air using water — no filters, no complicated parts. It’s not a typical air purifier with HEPA filters; instead, it’s a cold evaporative humidifier that also traps dust and allergens as it runs.
💨 1. Humidification Function
When indoor air gets too dry (common in winter or air-conditioned spaces), it can cause:

The LW14 fixes this by:
Pulling in dry room air through a series of slowly rotating plastic disc stacks inside a water tank.
These discs pick up water from the base tank as they spin.
As air passes over the wet discs, it picks up moisture through natural cold evaporation (the healthiest, cleanest form of humidification).
The air exits the unit gently humidified — not steamy or overly damp.

As the air passes over the wet discs:
Dust, pollen, and other airborne particles stick to the moist surfaces of the discs.
These particles are rinsed off into the water tank below.
So instead of getting blown back into the room like with some purifiers, the gunk stays behind in the water (which you clean out every few days).
