The Matala Filter Media - Blue Roll is a high-density filter media that is perfect for Vortex filters and barrel filters. This pre-cut cartridge is designed to be a "drop in" media for round tanks, providing excellent flow distribution and filtering out smaller particles effectively. The Blue R-Matala is a superb biological filter media with high surface area for nitrifying bacteria to thrive in.

It is recommended to prefilter with Black or Green Matala before using the Blue R-Matala to keep the biological section clean. The R-Matala coils are easy to install and do not require any additional support. Each roll is 6 inches thick and offers great dirt trapping potential while remaining easy to clean.
