Dr. Campos is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business. At the time of his graduation, Dr. Campos was also commissioned as a second Lieutenant in the United Army Adjutant General Corps as a Personnel and Human Resources Management Officer; he reached the rank of Major at the time of his Honorable Discharge. Dr. Campos also earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Amberton University, and a Juris Doctor degree with a concentration in corporate law from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law of which was recently purchased by Texas A&M University. Dr. Campos has over fifteen years of corporate business experience having worked with Fortune 200 companies like Southland Corporation, Fina Oil and Chemical Company and Trinity Industries. Dr. Campos is a founding member of The Department of Homeland Security and has worked in the federal government with agencies like the Department of Justice INS, The Department of Homeland Security ICE, the Department of Homeland Security CBP, The Department of Labor, The Department of Commerce and The General Services Administration. Dr. Campos retired from the federal government on December 31, 2015. One can find Dr. Phil Campos on LinkedIn and teach as an Adjunct Professor at Strayer University in the classroom and online. Dr. Campos recently founded a new company Southwest Procurement Institute where he offers workshops and training to business and government employees.
