A woman named Emily approached them, pointing to the Bible she had been given the previous night while gesturing toward herself. The couple realized that she wanted to learn to read the Bible, but many women were chastising her for this desire. Emily stood firm and declared, "Before I die, I will read the words of My God for myself."
