Cornell, a California native, is the daughter of Dutch immigrants. Her father, a welder, inventor and blacksmith, instilled in her a strong work ethic and creativity using innovation, imagination and trade skills. Her artistic talent and drafting knowledge gave her the ability to design and create working drawings using CADD. She was quickly hired by a local builder, Tom Cornell, to whom she is now married. Her 20 years of experience, along with her husbands building knowledge and good eye for quality, has made it possible for these designs to be made. These plans reflect the practical building techniques and beauty of architecture in a special and unique way.
